In 1963, ANC began to blow up buildings to realize
7、their dream of making black and white people equal, as one of the ANC leaders, he was sentenced to prison for life on Robben Island. He was moved to a prison in Cape Town in 1982 and was at last released from prison in 1990. In 1991, he became President of the ANC and won the Nobel Prize two years later. In 1994 He became President of South Africa. After his retirement as President in 1999, Mandela went on to become an advocate for a variety of social and human rights organizations.
