1、Unit 3 Language in use1. 情態(tài)動詞情態(tài)動詞 情態(tài)動詞表示說話人的語氣、情感或態(tài)度,沒有人稱和數的變化,在句子中不能單獨作謂語,只能和緊挨著的動詞原形一起構成復合謂語。(1)can的基本用法表示能力(如體力和腦力方面),意為“能;會”。如:A. Can you speak English? 你會講英語嗎?B. Can you play the piano? 你會彈鋼琴嗎?表示請求或允許,多用在口語中,意為“可以;能”。用于疑問句中來提出要求,用于否定句表示不允許。如: A. Can I help you?我能幫助你嗎?B. You cant take the book o
2、ut of the room.你不可以將這本書拿出房間。 Can you.?意為“請你好嗎”,表示說話人的請求;Can I.?意為“我可以嗎”,就對方是否允許自己做某事征求意見。如在句末加上please一詞就顯得更有禮貌了。如:Can you help me, please?請你幫助我好嗎?表示推測,意為“可能”。如:A. Can he be at home now?他現(xiàn)在可能在家嗎?B. The moon cant be always full.月亮不可能常圓。表示懷疑。在表達此意時,只能用于一般疑問句中,帶有感情色彩。如:Can that be true? 那會是真的嗎?(2)can的句式
3、變化在變?yōu)榉穸ň鋾r,直接在can后加上not,可縮寫成cant或cannot。如:A. He can swim.He cant swim.B. Emma can see the pen on the desk.Emma cannot see the pen on the desk.在變?yōu)橐话阋蓡柧鋾r,把can直接移到主語前(原主語的首字母改成小寫,第一人稱應變?yōu)榈诙朔Q)即可。如:I can see an orange on the table.Can you see an orange on the table?其肯定回答用Yes./OK./Certainly.等;否定回答用No./Sorr
4、y.等。如:Can you look after my dog, please?你能照看一下我的狗嗎?OK. 可以。用Certainly.回答時,語氣更為肯定。如:Can I have a look at your guitar?我能看看你的吉他嗎?Certainly. 當然可以。助記:can的句式變化1)肯定句:主語+can+動詞原形(+其他)。如:She can run fast. 她能跑得快。2)否定句:主語+cant+動詞原形(+其他)。如:I cant drive a car. 我不會開車。3)一般疑問句:Can+主語+動詞原形(+其他)?回答:Yes,主語+can./No,主語+c
5、ant.。如:Can you swim?你會游泳嗎?Yes, I can./No, I cant.是的,我會。/不,我不會。4)特殊疑問句:特殊疑問詞+can+主語+動詞原形(+其他)?如:Where can I find it? 我能在哪里找到它?2. would like的用法的用法 would like意為“愿意;想要”,與want意義相近,而語氣較want要委婉。其用法如下:(1)在肯定句中常與第一人稱(I, we)連用,表示意愿或委婉地表達要求、命令等。如: We would like/want something to eat. 我們想要一些東西吃。(2)在口語中常與第二人稱連用構
6、成Would you like/love.?句型,表示向對方提出客氣的、有禮貌的請求、邀請或希望等,意為“你(們)想要嗎”,比Do you want.?語氣要委婉得多。如: Would you like another cup of tea? 你想再喝一杯茶嗎?(3)回答Would you like/love.?的問句時,肯定回答常用Yes, please./Yes, Id(wed) like(love) to./Certainly./Oh, great!/Thank you.等;否定回答常用No, thanks./No, thank you./Thats nice of you, but.等
