Step I Revision (7 minutes)
Check the homework, asking the individual student to e to the front to read their passages out.
Step II Listening (8 mins)
Listening Cassette Unit 7. Page 43. Let the students r
5、ead the instructions first. Play the tape for the first time to finish the diagram. Give them some minutes to discuss. Play the tape again to let them check their answers.
Step III Painting Filling (5 mins)
Play tile tape for the 4th time tbr the students to finish the pictures on Page 44.

In our city we also have an ancient site, which was built in Chinese Three-Kingdom Period, called Shanyang Ancient Wall. But now a road is going to be built through it. Do you think we need to keep it or just destroy it to have a road built? Work in groups of 8, talk about

Step V Homework (4 mins)
1. Workbook P121 Listening.
2. Go to Intemet, and prepare a brief description of one cultural site in China. The description must contain the following: (1) The name of the site; (2) Its location; (3) Its importance and what is being done to protect it. Save it in your E-mail box or in your floppy disk.
