2019-2020年高中英語(yǔ) Module 1 3rd period教案 外研版必修1 The General Idea of This Period In this period, we’re going to learn the reading passage in detail by explaining some sentence structures and language points. Teaching Aims 1. Review the words and phrases learned in the last two periods. 2. Improve the students’ reading ability. 3. Master some important language points. Teaching Important Points 1. How to understand the passage better. 2. Master some important language points. Teaching Difficult Point How to use some useful words and phrases correctly and reasonably. Teaching Methods 1. Revision method to consolidate the words. 2. Explanation and practice methods to make the students master the words, expressions and some sentences. Teaching Aids 1. the blackboard 2. the multimedia Teaching Procedures Step 1 Greetings and Revision 1. Greet the whole class as usual. 2. Review the new words in this unit. Give the students Chinese meanings and let them pronounce and spell the words. Step 2 Presentation T: Yesterday, we read the passage and knew something about Li Kang’s school, his English lesson and his class. Today we will read the text carefully and analyze some important sentences. Step 3 Reading T: First keep your books closed and just listen to the whole passage carefully. While listening you should tick the words that appear in the text. amazed amazing bored boring brilliant embarrassed embarrassing enthusiastic exciting hard-working interested interesting (Students listen to the tape and tick the words.) Possible answers: amazing bored brilliant embarrassed enthusiastic hard-working T: Now please look at the screen. I will explain something to you. (Show the following on the screen.) 1. The teacher is a very enthusiastic woman called Ms Shen. (a) enthusiastic adj.熱情的,熱烈的,熱心的 enthusiastic support 熱情的支持 be enthusiastic for/over/about sth.對(duì)某事熱心 an enthusiastic discussion熱烈的討論 enthusiasm n.熱情,熱心,熱忱,積極性 e. g. The performances move the audience to enthusiasm. 演出使觀眾極為感動(dòng)。 enthusiasm for labour 勞動(dòng)積極性 enthusiast n.熱情者,熱心人 an enthusiast about public health 熱心于公共衛(wèi)生的人 an enthusiast for table tennis 愛(ài)打乒乓球的人 (b)called Ms Shen為過(guò)去分詞短語(yǔ)作后置定語(yǔ)修飾woman。 2. And we have fun. fun 不可數(shù)名詞,意為“娛樂(lè),快樂(lè),嬉戲”。 e. g. a lot of fun What fun the children had at the seaside! He has full of fun. in/for fun 開(kāi)玩笑地,鬧著玩地 fun 還可表示“有趣的人或事”。 e. g. Your new friend is quite fun. 常用作不可數(shù)名詞的詞:information, progress, advice, etc. 3. ...and we worked by ourselves. 我們自己活動(dòng)。 by oneself=alone, on one’s own 獨(dú)自一人,獨(dú)自地 of oneself 為自己,親自,獨(dú)自 to oneself 只對(duì)自己,只給自己 of oneself 獨(dú)自,自動(dòng)地 e. g. Having heard the two high officials’ praise for the magic cloth, the king decided to see it. A. of himself B. for himself C. to himself D. by himself 析:此題答案為 B。for himself 強(qiáng)調(diào)本人親自,不讓別人代替,by oneself 表示一個(gè)人,單獨(dú)無(wú)人伴隨。 4. In other words, there are three times as many girls as boys. 換句話說(shuō),女孩子的數(shù)量是男孩子的三倍。 (1)常見(jiàn)“times”倍數(shù)表達(dá)法: (a)...times + as...as...相當(dāng)于……的……倍 e. g. There are now three times as many schools in our town as in 1949. e. g. The number of factories in xx was 25 times greater than in 1978. (c)...times + the size (width, length, breadth, level, value) of...相當(dāng)于……倍 e. g. The earth is 49 times the size of the moon. (d)...times + upon (over)...超過(guò)……倍 e. g. The industrial output in our factory this year is ten times over that of 1976. (e)...times + what 是……的……倍 e. g. The population in this city is more than 10 times what it was in 1970. 這座城市的人口數(shù)量是1970年的十多倍。 (f)...times + by/in parison with 或 as pared with...增加到……倍 e. g. The cotton yield of this year has increased four times (as)pared with that of last year. (2)與 word 相關(guān)的短語(yǔ) a play on (upon) words 雙關(guān)語(yǔ),俏皮話 keep one’s word 守約,守信 in a/one word 簡(jiǎn)而言之,一句話,總之 break one’s word 失信 have a word with sb. 同某人談話 take sb. at his word 相信某人的話是真的 have words with sb. 同某人爭(zhēng)吵 5. I am looking forward to doing it. 我正盼望著做它呢。 look forward to 意思是“盼望”,to是介詞,后接名詞、代詞或動(dòng)詞的-ing形式。 e. g. We’re looking forward to seeing you again. All the children are looking forward to the Spring Festival. I don’t know what result they are looking forward to seeing. The day they were looking forward to came at last. 短語(yǔ)歸納: “to”為介詞的短語(yǔ)小集 stick to 堅(jiān)持 e to 談到,涉及 lead to 通向,導(dǎo)致 refer to 提及,談到,涉及 object to 反對(duì) belong to 屬于 beat to...打擊…… be up to 總計(jì),忙于做某事 pay a visit to 參觀 devote...to...致力于…… get down to開(kāi)始著手做 prefer...to...更喜歡…… sentence sb. to 宣判某人…… be/get used to 習(xí)慣,適應(yīng) be/get close to 靠近 see to 處理,負(fù)責(zé),照顧 “l(fā)ook”短語(yǔ)大看臺(tái) look about 警戒,看望,查看 look on 旁觀,觀望 look after 照顧,照料 look out 向外看,當(dāng)心 look back on/to sth. 追思,回顧 look over 檢閱,檢查 look down upon/on 輕視,看不起 look roud [喻]事前仔細(xì)考慮,觀光 look for 尋找 look up 仰視,查(字典中的詞) look forward to 盼望,期望 look up to 尊敬 look into 調(diào)查 look through 溫習(xí),檢查 Step 4 Consolidation T: So far we have finished explaining the whole passage. Now would you like to give us a summary of Li Kang’s opinion about new school? S: I would like to have a try. Li Kang is very impressed with the teachers and the technology in his school. The English teacher’s method is very different from that in his old school and very interesting. The class is bigger and the students work harder. T: Excellent! You are a clever boy, I think. Step 5 Summary and Homework In this lesson, we read the passage again and have understood it well. We all have learned a lot of important words and expressions, such as fun, enthusiastic, by oneself, look forward to. After class you should try to remember them and use them freely.
