Make a study of the structure of the three sentences in the box. Then make similar sentences. She did it so that Kylie could avoid problems with her parents. Theyre quarreling again, so be quiet! ■Write sentences with because or so that. 1. Norman Bethune gave his life to helping the Chinese people so that he’s remembered in China. 2. Norman Bethune became a doctor in 1916 so that he could look after injured soldiers in the First World War. 3. He saw many soldiers die in the war so that later he invented new treatments to help soldiers,and medical tools to use outside hospitals. 4. He’s remembered for his work as a doctor because he treated soldiers in different countries. 5. In 1938 he came to China so that he could look after the Chinese soldiers in the mountains north of Yan’an. 6. He had to work very hard because there were few doctors. 7. He opened hospitals so that he could give treatment to local people and soldiers. 8. He also wrote books so that doctors could learn about new treatments. 9. Dr Bethune was very tired because he worked very hard without stopping to rest. 10. Once,he performed operations for 69 hours without stopping so that he could saved 112 people. 11. He looked very tired because he cut his hand during the operation. 12. In the end, he died because he did not stop to take care of his hand. 13. He became a hero in China because he worked hard with the Chinese soldiers. 14. There are books and films about him so that he could be remembered. ■Read Around the world Turn to page 79. A famous Chinese soldier Zuo Quan was born on 15th April, 1905. In 1924 he went to study at Huang Pu Military School as a soldier. One years later he joined the munist Party of China so that he could help Chinese people better. In the same year, in 1925, he went to study in Russia. Zuo Quan studied hard to bee a good soldier. When he returned to China in 1930, he was a famous fighter. He taught in a Red Army School to train soldiers. He also fought in many places for the Chinese people. Zuo Quan took part in the Long March in 1934. Then he fought with his rades against the Japanese invaders in North China. He died in a battle in the Taihang Mountains on 25th May, 1945, when he was 35 years old. 中國工農(nóng)紅軍和八路軍高級指揮員 永遠的豐碑:左權(quán) “名將以身殉國家,愿拼熱血衛(wèi)吾華。太行浩氣傳千古,留得清漳吐血花。”這是朱德總司令為悼念八路軍副參謀長左權(quán)壯烈殉國而寫的一首詩。 左權(quán)是中國工農(nóng)紅軍和八路軍高級指揮員,著名軍事家。周恩來稱他“足以為黨之模范”,朱德贊譽他是“中國軍事界不可多得的人才”。他1905年3月15日生于湖南醴陵一個農(nóng)民家庭。1924年入黃埔軍校第1期學習。1925年2月加入中國共產(chǎn)黨。同年12月赴蘇聯(lián),先后在莫斯科中山大學、伏龍芝軍事學院學習。1930年回國后到中央蘇區(qū)工作,先后任中國工農(nóng)紅軍學校第1分校教育長、新12軍軍長、第15軍軍長兼政治委員、紅1軍團參謀長等職,參加了開辟中央蘇區(qū)和五次反“圍剿”作戰(zhàn)。1934年10月參加長征,他參與指揮所部強渡大渡河、攻打臘子口等戰(zhàn)役戰(zhàn)斗。到達陜北后,參加了直羅鎮(zhèn)和東征等戰(zhàn)役。1936年5月,任紅1軍團代理軍團長,率部參加了西征和山城堡戰(zhàn)役。 全國抗戰(zhàn)爆發(fā)后,左權(quán)擔任八路軍副參謀長、八路軍前方總部參謀長,后兼八路軍第2縱隊司令員,協(xié)助朱德、彭德懷指揮八路軍開赴華北抗日前線,開展敵后游擊戰(zhàn)爭,粉碎日軍多次殘酷“掃蕩”,威震敵后。1942年5月25日,他在山西省遼縣十字嶺戰(zhàn)斗中壯烈殉國,年僅37歲。為紀念左權(quán),晉冀魯豫邊區(qū)政府決定將遼縣改名為左權(quán)縣。- 1.請仔細閱讀文檔,確保文檔完整性,對于不預覽、不比對內(nèi)容而直接下載帶來的問題本站不予受理。
