What’s your favorite subject?你最喜歡的學(xué)科是什么？（教材第49頁） （1） What’s your favorite...?意為“你最喜歡的……是什么？”，是英語中用來詢問對方喜歡的事物的常用句型。 —What’s your favorite color?你最喜歡的顏色是什么？ —White.白色。 （2） favorite(like...best) 此處用作形容詞，意為“特別喜愛的”，通常用作定語修飾名詞，其前常用形容詞性物主代詞或名詞所有格修飾。 Tom’s favorite subject is English.=Tom likes English best.湯姆最喜歡的科目是英語。 2. P.E.體育 P.E.作名詞，是physical education的縮寫形式。 【拓展】學(xué)科名詞作主語時，謂語動詞用單數(shù)形式。 P.E. is very interesting.體育非常有趣。 3. —Why do you like P.E.?你為什么喜歡體育？ —Because it’s fun.因為它很有意思。（教材第50頁） （1） why是疑問副詞，意為“為什么”，詢問原因。常用來引導(dǎo)特殊疑問句，其答語常用 “Because+句子.”。 —Why does he like baseball?他為什么喜歡棒球？ —Because it’s fun.因為它很有意思。 （2）because作連詞，意為“因為”，其后跟句子，陳述原因或理由，常用于回答why引導(dǎo) 的疑問句。 —Why is he not here?他為什么不在？ —Because he is ill.因為他生病了。 【注意】在漢語中“因為……所以……”常會同時出現(xiàn)在一個句子中。在英語中，because 和so不能同時出現(xiàn)在一個句子中，兩者只能用其一。 Because geography is interesting,I like it.=Geography is interesting,so I like it.因為地理很有趣， 所以我喜歡它。 4.That’s for sure.的確如此。（教材第50頁） That’s for sure.表示完全贊同他人的觀點，相當(dāng)于漢語中的“那是肯定的；確實是這樣的”。 —Swimming is good for us.游泳對我們有好處。 —That’s for sure.的確如此。 Exercise 1、 用所給單詞的適當(dāng)形式填空。 1.
