1、Unit 3 Language in use狀語從句(三):程度狀語從句和讓步狀語從句狀語從句(三):程度狀語從句和讓步狀語從句(1)so. that. 引導(dǎo)的程度狀語從句 1)當(dāng)主句與從句意義一致,且從句為肯定句時,so. that.可以與.enough to結(jié)構(gòu)相互轉(zhuǎn)換。如: He is so old that he can go to school. =He is old enough to go to school. 他足夠大,可以上學(xué)了。 2)當(dāng)程度狀語從句表達(dá)否定意義時,可與too. to.或not. enough to結(jié)構(gòu)相互轉(zhuǎn)換。如: He ran so quickly tha

2、t we all couldnt catch up with him. =He ran too quickly for us all to catch up with him. 他跑得很快,我們都追不上他。 Jim is so young that he cant look after himself. =Jim is too young to look after himself. =Jim is not old enough to look after himself. 吉姆如此年輕以致于不能照顧自己。 (2)such. that. 引導(dǎo)的程度狀語從句其常用結(jié)構(gòu)為:such+a/an+ad

3、j.+可數(shù)名詞單數(shù)+that;such+adj.+可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù)/不可數(shù)名詞+that。如: This is such an interesting book that we all enjoy reading it. 這本書非常有趣,我們都喜歡看。 They are such interesting books that we all enjoy reading them. 這些書很有趣,我們都喜歡看。 (3)so+many/few/much/little+名詞+that從句 若名詞前有表示數(shù)量的形容詞many/ few/ much/ little時,須與so連用,構(gòu)成so+many/ few

4、/ much/ little+名詞+that從句。如: The explorer had so many falls that he was black and blue all over. 探險家摔了很多跤,以致于全身上下青一塊紫一塊的。 I had so few pencils that I did not finish this drawing. 我的鉛筆幾乎用完了以致于我沒有完成這幅畫。 There was so much food that we couldnt eat it all. 食物太多了,我們吃不完。 I have so little money that I cannot

5、 afford a car. 我的錢太少,買不起汽車。 【注意】若little表示“小”時,要用such。如: He is such a little boy that he cant lift the box. 他是這么小的一個男孩,提不動那個箱子。 (4)讓步狀語從句 讓步狀語從句通常由although, though等連詞引導(dǎo)。二者都不可與but, however連用,但可與yet或still連用。如: Though he is young, he knows a lot. 雖然他年輕,但他懂得很多。 Although I am tired, I must go on working.
